Gas Weighted Heating Demand

• NOAA reports a 233 HDD actual for the week ended Feb 1, close to their week-ago forecast of 233.
• That is 1 less HDD than the prior week, and represents a +29 anomaly to the normal 204.
• The forecast for the current week is a modestly lower 223 HDD, still 26 HDD above normal. 

This portends a third consecutive week of high natural gas demand, as January's exceptional cold carries over into February.  Warmer anomalies are still about two weeks away.
