Pacific Northwest Stream Flow Forecast 108% of Normal

The drought in the West continues to be a California phenomenon only, as hydro power prospects continue to improve in Washington/Oregon.  The latest stream flow forecast for the Columbia river (as of May 4) shows runoff expectations at 108% of normal.  Last year was about 100% of normal.

Actual hydro power output in the Northwest has been above 2013 for about three weeks, and should remain seasonally strong for about three more months.
