The Texas RRC released its Drilling and Completion Report for April today, showing continued momentum in liquids-rich drilling activity. Permits for wells targeting both oil and gas remained high, while oil-only permits rose, and gas-only permits fell to multi-year lows.
Completions, which are often reported late, were low, at 1,012 oil wells and just 92 gas wells.
