Nuclear Power Generation Slow to Recover

US Nuclear Power Reactor Status:  Utilization has been hovering around 92% for 6 days.  The high levels of utilization in November were offsetting natural gas generation significantly, but that comparative surplus is about to decline, and output levels look to be closer to last year in December.

Loss of reactors at Sequoyah, Nine Mile Point, and Brown's Ferry over the past week have offset the return to service of other reactors that were down for refueling.
