The Energy Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has expanded wind capacity this year, but wind output is highly variable this time of year. On a gas replacement basis, ERCOT generated about 10.3 BCFE in wind power last year, during the last EIA week. This year, it was 12.9 BCFE, an increase of 25%, and a reversal of the prior week's comparison. Here are the weekly output levels, and the comparison of '15 with '16:
